‘Robber’ beaten dead

A mob beat a suspected robber to death after his gang injured five Golapganj villagers in Golapganj upazila this morning.

It was not possible to immediately determine the identity of the deceased, who was approximately 40 years old.

Hospitalization was given to injured villagers.

Police claimed that armed robbers broke into the home of Gyan Sen at Pashchim Dattarail Village, but they heard the shouts of the villagers and surrounded the group.

The gang opened fire on five villages, fearing for their lives.

Locals were able to capture one member of the gang, beat him up and leave him behind.
